About Mr Talbot

Rich TalbotMy name is Rich Talbot. I’m a grade 3/4 and STEM/ICT teacher at Longford Primary School in Tasmania.

I completed a Bachelor of Computing in 2001 and moved to England where I travelled and worked for 10 years. I worked at Legoland Windsor and as a full stack Web Developer in London.

I always had a strong calling to be a primary school teacher, so in 2013 my family and I decided to return to Launceston and I completed my Master of Teaching at UTAS.

For the last eight years I have taught at East Launceston, Norwood and Longford Primary Schools on Grades 3-6 and STEM, with six months at Launceston Big Picture School. With high expectations, I encourage my students to pursue a lifelong learning journey leading to success, happiness and independence.

I work with my students to build a classroom culture around the simple concept: Be safe, Be kind and Try your best.

Be safe, be kind, try your best
